Customer Support Engineer

The role:

Felinesoft are looking for a Customer Support Engineer to support our growing business. 

This role would be perfect for someone with customer service experience who is looking for an entry-level role in a technology role. This would also suit someone with 1-2 years of technical support experience and is looking to build upon their career. The most important attribute is a curiosity for ‘how software works’. 

The role acts as a bridge between the users of the solutions we deliver, and the development teams who have created them. Training will be given in the systems supported, which include Microsoft Dynamics 365, a range of Content Management Systems such as Umbraco, and diagnostic tools such as Application Insights.   

 

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Providing 2nd Line support to triage different client requests 
  • Replicating client problems for handover to internal development teams 
  • Communicating with clients and internal stakeholders on status of support problems 
  • Assisting with the optimisation of support processes 



Essential skills and experience:

  • Experience in a first or second-line support role 
  • A passion and enthusiasm for software and technology 
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills 
  • The desire to continuously learn new skills  
  • Experience building and maintaining strong relationships both internally and externally  
  • Great people skills; a friendly, professional manner with excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Able to work well in a team and under your own initiative  



Nice to haves: 

  • Any understanding of programming in any language
  • Experience of supporting custom software
