Pre-Sales Consultant

The Opportunity: 

A Pre-Sales will be a key member of the sales and marketing team for eliciting and analysing customer requirements and mapping those needs to the solutions we offer. As the functional/product resource for assigned opportunities, the Consultant will provide technical expertise input into pre-sales activities from introductory meetings, proposals, prototypes and demonstrations, both as part of pre-sales and post delivery to ensure our clients maximise the value from the systems we implement. 

The Ideal Candidate: 

We are looking for a Pre-Sales Consultant who can ask the appropriate questions to establish the requirements from the client in order to deliver the best-in-class solutions, and experience as a technical or solutions specialist within a software/technology environment will be advantageous. As this role will be customer facing, the candidate should have strong communication skills and be able to articulate messages clearly with a strong commercial understanding of the sales process. 

You will have confidence and integrity in your approach, with an ability to work with stakeholders at all levels both internally and externally. Due to the nature of our business, a high level of commercial acumen and the ability to work with agility and at pace is also essential.  Experience within one or more of the following sectors would be highly advantageous but it is not essential – Not for Profit Membership and Charity, Public Sector and Healthcare 

As a Pre-Sales Consultant at Felinesoft, you will play a key role in the demonstration of Umbraco Content Management System (CMS), DataVerse (Dynamics 365), and other bespoke applications.  Ideally, you will understand the Microsoft, Azure and .Net ecosystem and be capable of demonstrating how the services and technologies we provide can deliver measurable benefits to our clients.  You will work closely with Business Development, Business Analysts and Solution Architects to promote Felinesoft services to existing clients, potential clients, partners and industry leaders.  

You will operate in a sales-focused role, requiring a combination of presentation skills, industry knowledge and a detailed understanding of our delivery process.  

You will be accountable for building relevant stakeholder relationships with the business development, marketing, lead generation, project delivery teams, and customers. You will continually seek innovative ways to improve team productivity, enhancement of collateral and procurement success rates.
 

You will be responsible for: 

  • Leading a significant area of Pre-Sales planning and supporting the business development team with all pre-sales activities and bid production. 
  • Develop and deliver solution demonstrations – supporting the business development team by developing and delivering compelling customer focused solution demos to prospects and/or existing customers and in promotional activities such as webinars and conferences. 
  • Contribute to the creation of overall theme & competitive differentiation (value-based sales) 
  • Understand customer needs - Work with prospects and existing customers to understand their strategic goals, priorities and business requirements 
  • Supporting and contributing qualification of opportunities – support the business development team to qualify new leads and prospects. 
  • Contributing to submission responses – by writing, editing and reviewing submission responses, or sections of bid responses, drawing on contributions as well as collateral. 
  • Contributing to Marketing and Promotion activities - Support go-to-market activities such as developing packaged offerings, whitepapers, product videos and industry specific solutions 
  • Building and maintaining relationships – build relationships with key technical and sales contacts within Felinesoft and partner organisations. 
  • Supporting our clients to achieve rapid adoption of the systems we deliver 
  • Providing training to clients 
  • Ensure clients are getting best value from their solutions  

 

Experience and Requirements:  

  • 3+ years of complex software pre-sales experience  
  • 2+ year as a Functional Consultant for Dynamics 365 
  • Ideally has broad knowledge of the UK NfP Membership and Charity market 
  • Understanding of Customer Relationship Management and Content Management systems – Ideally, Dynamics 365 (DataVerse), .NET CMS  
  • Experience in sales and service processes 
  • Excellent presentation, technical demonstration, and communication skills 
  • Strong commercial awareness and sound understanding of successful sales and pre-sales dynamics. 
  • Understands customer’s business drivers and issues and how these can be addressed via Felinesoft services and solutions. 
  • Excellent organisational and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail. 
  • Highly capable of multi-tasking and prioritising tasks with the ability to work under pressure and deliver to regular tight deadlines. 
  • We are one big team – a proven ability to manage and motivate team members and lead by example is crucial. 
  • A self-starter with a highly flexible attitude with the willingness to travel to sales opportunities when appropriate
